About Haf Eirian Morris

Haf Morris is the Socio-economic Lead for Magnox Ltd covering the eight sites in England including Hinkley Point A. Haf joined Magnox Ltd (or the CEGB as it was then) in 1984 as an administrator in Finance before moving into Human Resources. Her next step was the Maintenance Team as a Machinist a position she was qualified to take up as she was a time served machinist with Rolls Royce. She was the first female to work on the shop floor on a nuclear power station.

In 1988 Haf became the Training Foreman at Trawsfynydd Power Station, North Wales before the station ceased generating electricity and Haf moved to Dungeness with her family to take up a training role there.

Her next role was as the Manager of the Visitor Centre, from there she led the Communications Team at Dungeness through cessation of generation to early decommissioning before taking up the post of Socio-economic Lead for the Magnox sites in England where she works with her colleagues in Magnox and the NDA to manage the Magnox Socio-economic Scheme. She has been in this role for over 10 years reviewing, assessing and advising on a range of projects put forward for support ranging in value from a few thousands to hundreds of thousands and more.
